M4-295X range of brushed DC-Motors

Utilizing high energy rare earth magnet material, the M4-295X series DC servo-motor-tach units provide precise motion control in machine tools, robotics, automatic material handling, wiredrawing, paper, plastic-film and foil processing, tension controls and packaging machinery. Peak torque of up to 40 Nm gives ample power for fast, accurate positioning. Coupled with low motor inertia, theoretical acceleration of up to 25,000 rad/s2 results.

The most important features are as follows:

  • 750 - 1500W
  • 2 to 8Nm
  • 5000 rpm Max Speed
  • Compact size
  • High Energy Rare Earth Magnets
  • Encoder Mounting Spigot Provided
  • 4-Pole Motor

Standard Features:

  • Round Flange (IMB14)
  • P.G. Gland
  • IP44 Sealing
  • Keyway
  • Tacho

Options:

  • Brake
  • Connectors
  • Special Winding
  • No Keyway
  • Special Shafts
  • Thermostat

M4-420X series of brushed DC motors

Utilizing high energy rare earth magnet material, the M4-420X series DC servo-motor-tach units provide precise motion control in machine tools, robotics, automatic material handling, wiredrawing, paper, plastic-film and foil processing, tension controls and packaging machinery, etc. Peak torque of up to 161Nm gives ample power for fast, accurate positioning. Coupled with low motor inertia, theoretical acceleration of up to 6500 rad/sec2 results.

With a speed range capability in excess of 20.000 : 1, one motor can provide rapid traverse and feed rates for each machine axis, eliminating the complexity and compliance of multiple motors, clutches, and gear trains. Speeds as low as 6 revs. per hour may be achieved in a position loop without cogging. The unique permanent-magnet structure eliminates thermal runaway and commutation problems commonly encountered in conventional ceramic-magnet motors. Provision is made for mounting resolver, encoder or other position feedback devices by means of a spigot at the non-drive end with shaft extension. A 24V d.c. failsafe brake can optionally be provided. Motor power and tachogenerator leads are provided via junction boxes but alternative connection by flying lead (PG Glands) or connectors is possible.
