The VLZ series redefines the benchmark for high-end encoders: it achieves a resolution of 1 milliradian — contactless and without the limitations of optical technologies.

These encoders operate reliably even in challenging environments where other systems reach their limits. With no optical components, yet featuring high sensitivity and excellent immunity to magnetic fields and electromagnetic interference (EMI), they offer exceptional robustness and long service life.

Installation is flexible: flush mounting is possible on either side. The VLZ series is also available in “bearing” configurations, making ultra-precise position measurement more accessible than ever before.

Typical Machine-Building Applications of the VLZ Series

For applications in automated manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and material handling, compact and highly precise position feedback devices are required. Thanks to their contactless design, high resolution, and low profile, the VLX family is particularly well suited for use in dynamic, high-motion environments.

The encoders provide absolute position values, operate virtually wear-free, and are insensitive to dust and other environmental influences. Sizes starting at 13 mm outer diameter enable integration even where installation space is limited. Mechanical tolerances simplify installation.
