Steppercontroller

Still today stepmotors are used in many applications because of various reasons, e.g. like cost, standstill at end of move (no control activity) or high torque density at low speed.

Modern control technology also allows for much better smoothness and the fear from loosing steps has gone due to the capability of the modern controllers to read feedback devices like encoders. Today we have even moved from position correction to real servo mode with stepper motors, which makes it a very attractive package for low speed high torque applications

We offer the following stepper controller families:

  • GeoBrick-LV: servo/stepper-controller with 4 or 8 axis: the GeoBric-LV use a 4 phase power bridge which allows them to be used to drive both 3 phase servo motors as well as 2-phase stepper motors and of course mixed configurations; 12  to 60Vdc, 5Arms cont.
  • StepNet: fully digital stepper controller family for AC- and DC-input, various shapes, RS-232 with powerful indexer, CANopen on board (Stepnet Plus also available with EtherCAT), encoder feedback with real servo operation, software compatible versions for 3-phase BLDC motors, which can also be used to drive 3-phase steppers! Stepnet Plus Module also available as dual axis version!
  • ViX: fully digital steppercontroller family for 12 to 80Vdc, RS232 with easy to use indexer, optional CANopen, encoder feedback for position correction
  • XL: analog low-cost stepper amplifier for 24 to 80Vdc, pulse/direction, optional RS232 with easy to use indexer or optional CANopen, suitable switch mode power supply available
